I figured it was about time to put the spotlight on some of our closest friends in american drum and bass. So Clancy Silver formerly of Rinse Magazine, who is also the latest addition to the Media Contender family, spoke to the Gasm Recordings crew and came back with some goodies old and new, get familiar.

Hailing from Philadelphia PA, Gasm aka The Swarm are without a doubt some of the hardest working artists in urban underground music. The crew consists of artists Mason, Dstar and Trust with mic support from MC’s Armanni Reign and Sharpness aka Mental Sharp. Our Philly family has been a force in the US Drum & Bass scene for years. On the production tip, the crew have released on a myriad of labels including the legendary Metalheadz and the Mental Sharp frontmen have been hosting worldwide for some of the musics most prestigious events and talents. If you talk about Stateside Drum n Bass, you have to mention the Philly crew.

From fresh hip hop to dirty drum and bass all the way to dubstep, this crew has an arsenal of bass heavy party music, and shows no signs of slowing down.
