Southern California has deep roots in the Drum n Bass world. The Belmont Yard (RIP) gatherings in the mid nineties were considered the birth of the west coast movement that was suitably called “Jungle”. You could here the freshest sounds from the underground in one of the most famous graffiti yards in LA history. Early adopters R.A.W. and CRS? were some of the first to take the London born sound and give it their own Cali twist. Since then the sound of Jungle now known as Drum n Bass has carved a permanent place for itself here and the city boasts one of the best scene’s on the planet.

Fast forward to 2008, a new generation has embraced the sound. Led by Heavy Hittahz aka Jacknife & Big Rig, whose productions are as exciting as their dj sets. You can catch the two terrorize the masses at almost every underground in the LA area with their own brand of jump up madness.
