I’m not too sure how Danny’s feeling today. I know I had a bit of a hangover. Last night’s event at The Viper Room was one of those cool little get-togethers that brought out both old friends and new faces.

The main room was hosted by both Media Contender and Hard featuring the surprisingly (to me, at least) diverse Jokers Of The Scene headlining over Destructo and Dan Oh. Now I know most of the good Electro DJs are really about throwing the single genre idea out the window, but did I really hear Tech House and some twitchy, driving Techno as well? Yum. It’s great to see these lines being blurred in a big way making it all about the overall vibe. My day has come!

Downstairs in the “Bass”ment, our friend Dadzie aka 12th Planet lead the Dubstep lineup, complimented by the earlier stylings of Pablo Hassan and Teekay, in what I still think is the smallest room to party. Not that it’s uncomfortable, just very “intimate” if you catch my drift. With Kemst on the mic it felt like the old days of Science at The Pink in a some weird way.

I can’t really say how the night ended but things were still going strong when Clancy and I skipped out at about 1:30. Pretty sure it’s safe to say a good time was had by just about everyone in attendance. What better present could one ask for? Happy Birthday, Danny.
