If you didnt notice, I was incredibly excited for the Scion House Party last Wednesday at The Roxy. Joker being one of my favorite producers right now, 12th Planet really hammers that Funktion One soundsystem, and I had not heard of anyone ever actually getting a chance to see Zomby play live. After I heard about the no show the night before in NYC, I didnt think it was going to happen. However, a friend assured me that Zomby had landed in LA and was going to play. When we got to the venue there was a line down the street already. I saw who I assumed was Zomby walk up to the side stage door and then my my friend confirmed that and introduced us, I knew then that the night was going to be very special. The energy was great and people couldnt get enough from when the first record dropped to when the lights went on. Im told they got over 2000 rsvp’s and hundreds of people had to be turned away. Great sound, great artists, and best of all, it was free with rsvp for all the people that are really excited about Dubstep. This night was nothing short of historic.

This video of Joker, Nomad, and Skream stage diving to his La Roux remix was something I wont forget anytime soon. Zomby comes on at the end of the vid with some UK Funky and took many by surprise that he didn’t play Dubstep. I like funky and jungle so I wasn’t mad at him.
