Let’s face it, Los Angeles Drum & Bass just hasn’t been the same without our weekly dose of Respect the past couple of months. Thankfully, those days are over and the Junglist Platoon is back to playing host at The Dragonfly; 6510 Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood. The re-opening night was last week with Tech Itch, who over the many years, has gained notoriety by heading the plight for that which is hard and dark. Making my way through a jam-packed venue with my camera in tow, I was able to rap with Machete about the amazing turnout, where he stated with an elegant matter-of-factness, “The stars seemed to be in alignment for our return. We couldn’t be happier with tonight.” Welcome back, guys.
