Once in a while a show comes together in a matter of days, yet leaves an imprint on everyone involved for a multitude of time. Last night’s collaboration between N.E.E.T. Recordings, Media Contender and Dim Mak was sure to be one of those events. It went down as a “secret” show announced just two days prior to the night, where neither the ticket or venue locations were released right away. 500 tickets were then sold out at Turntable Lab, proving that Los Angeles was eager to see M.I.A. perform with a supporting cast of Blaqstarr, Pase Rock (live performance), South Rakkas Crew, Million Dollar Mano, Them Jeans, and 12th Planet. Lot 613 was announced as the venue where a good variety of people packed the space during our star’s headlining performance. As people were leaving I heard words like “epic” and “amazing” floating out of smiling faces. What a great night, and I captured as much as I could in pictures. Have a look!
