Cross country collab Monster Squad bring together the required elements for quality production and mass appeal. Featuring NY production talent, The American Dream Team, alongside a collective of 3 of LA’s hardest working MC’s in the underground circuit. If you aren’t familiar with TADT, i’ll link a few pieces we’ve done on them.
“We all came together to form Monster Squad after Dre and I did that ‘Money Bitches Cars Clothes Weed’ track with TADT,” says Los Angeles based electro and drum & bass host, Whiskey Pete. He is speaking of the track he did alongside BBC award winning “”Best Breakthrough Drum & Bass MC”, Dre aka Andre Parnell. The third vocalist on the west side portion of this group is Jae Stylus, a close friend whose worked with both Pete and Dre on many past projects.
“We’re kinda going for more of an album vibe with this. Something you can listen to the whole way through ya know? Not just club singles.” – Whiskey Pete.
Powered by the engineering of TADT, and the crazy party vibe of the 3 MC’s, Monster Squad fuse their musical tastes and backgrounds in hip hop, drum n bass, electro, and dubstep, keeping them open to experimenting with whatever sound they deem fit. Watch out for this crew as they are currently working out their live show, and it will blow up any party they step into.
