Known best for his drum & bass production and releases on such labels as Renegade Hardware, 31 Records, and Creative Source to name a few, Toronto-based producer Mutt is one of Canada’s busiest and highly regarded producers of the genre. As a proper musician though, he takes full advantage of this time where most producers are breaking the bounds of any specific genre and keeping it eclectic.
Mutt takes it minimal and gives us some of his trademark soul in this little dubstep number. And speaking of which, watch for more dubstep including a tune on the upcoming Subway album (“TekDub” ft Ill.Gates) as well as a tune on Tube 10 (“Sherm”).
As for his upcoming Drum & Bass, he’s slated for releases for CIA Deepkut (Conversations” b/w “Invitations” both ft vocalist Kevin King) as well as for Good Looking Records ( “Ode to the Ghetto”, “Evelyne”, and “You and Me” ft Grimm).
I’m gonna try and get a Drum & Bass mix out of him in the near future but in the meantime, get heavy lidded and listen…
