If you have cemented your plans for this weekend I strongly suggest you reconsider and check out O.P.M. this Saturday as Teknowledge events brings you yet another amazing underground dance party. I worked with the promoter, Mike Voss, several years ago hosting his Drum n Bass rooms. He puts great attention to detail into his productions with decor, lighting, and sound, and works with like minded crews to produce unforgettable experiences. This particular event grabbed my attention because they are bringing out a couple of the most dynamic and explosive dubstep artists today. Datsik and Excision along with label mate, Subvert. I have taken a special liking to Datsik due to his recent collab with our very own 12th Planet called Texx Mars (Open Your Eyes). You can catch this release forthcoming on the city of angels staple dubstep label, SMOG. Excision was one of the first dubstep artists I gravitated towards that produced the harder, darker side of the genre. All in all, this event covers so much of the electronic music landscape, and is another testament to the healthy and booming Los Angeles underground.
