I am a long time jungle and drum n bass fanatic. When I first got into electronic music, jungle was the first sound that I heard that resonated so deeply inside me I knew it would be a huge part of my life for many years and well, it has been. I found myself so engulfed in the culture constantly seeking out new music and new artists I thought would change the way electronic music was perceived over all. Through this constant hunger for music that struck me in a way I could never really explain, I have found some of the most amazing producers in the world and realized that the production techniques that the genre demanded to stay cutting edge ultimately impacted dance music as a whole. I’ve found some of the most dynamic, innovative dancefloor music has come from drum n bass producers, if you dont believe me please see Subfocus, Photek, Treasure Fingers aka The Enemy, Kill The Noise aka Ewun, Villains aka Poise, 12th Planet aka Infiltrata, LA Riots aka Orion, Tittsworth, Zinc, and honestly the list goes on and on. My point being that although drum n bass is not as popular as it once was a few years ago, it boasts some of the most talented forward thinking artists in dance music and as the genre lines become more blurred, it allows the cream to rise to the top without limitations.
Which leads me to Need For Mirrors, who have a wealth of experience under their belts, you may not have heard of them yet but I can honestly say these two and their new project will gain the respect and love of those captivated by future music. We will keep our eye on them closely and keep you updated on the progress of this new project.
Mosus, no stranger to the game has teamed up with producer Hlz to produce and perform under the name “Need For Mirrors”.
The will be producing all styles of electronic music but primarily drum n bass as they work towards an artist album due out end of 2010.
Watch out for future releases on Shogun Audio, Soul-R, 31 Records, and Zero T’s new imprint Footprints through out 2010.
This is a official remix of Passion Pit that was never released by Sony Music.
Go buy the Manners album by Passion Pit which features the original version.
