Enter the muthafuckin’ dragon. It is with great anticipation and pleasure that I introduce you to Kuru, a new project consisting of Origin and Phear, two of the City of Angels’ best kept secrets. These two are no new-jacks, rather electronic music veterans in a city rich in dance music history. They have been making an impact on the Los Angeles underground for over 10 years, with so many contributions via club nights, records, websites, flyers— I couldn’t even begin to list them all here. So much coming up from them including their debut performance TONIGHT at Los Angeles’ longest running drum n bass club, Respect. Taking matters into their own hands by helping pave the way for something new, heavily influenced by techno and drum n bass, welcome to the sound of Kuru.
Download this exclusive mix and grab the remix they did for San Diego’s Ghettron entitled Anthem. This track is heavy with the bass and sick with the dark and dirty dancefloor vibes.
