“Remember that time, I don’t know if it was last year or the one before, but we were all wasted…” After the annual party that is Winter Music Conference, we’ve all heard or told a story that started out with some version of those words; the teller engages the listener in some debaucherous memory, the listener is transported to that moment and a laugh or two is had thanks to a fantastic WMC experience. We here at Media Contender love these kinds of 2348 mile trips across the nation for the crème de la crème of all things EDM—the artists, the media, the big events, the insane lineups, the schmoozing amongst overpriced drinks, the lazy days on the beach—and it’s all under the guise of a conference.
