John Dadzie aka 12th Planet is many things to many people. Almost everyone that crosses his path falls in love with his electric personality instantly, he is probably the most likable guy you will ever meet. Over the years I have known him which is fast approaching 12, he has been an accomplished emcee known as John Dada, a drum n bass dj and producer known as Infiltrata, and now he is 12th Planet, the official King of Los Angeles Dubstep. He has toured constantly for 10 years and every where he touches down, he makes more and more friends.

Its not very often you find an artist that can fit into any format. 12th Planet has been invited to play at every one of LA’s best club nights. From Dance Right to Avalon, and Cinespace to The Heist, EDC and Hard. There is no venue that does not welcome 12th Planet with open arms.

Over the last year or so, he has carved his own niche within the booming sounds of bass driven music, a style all his own. With the huge success of the UK’s Rusko, Caspa, and Skream, there is an Angelino carrying the flag just as high and he’s going to be heard one way or another.

12th Planet’s set last weekend at EDC is fast approaching legendary status, if you were there, you know. This video is beautifully captured by Clancy. Seeing 15,000 people at the Basspod stage for 12th Planet was very special, and was probably the biggest Bass stage I have seen at any dance music festival. We are glad Clancy was there armed with his camera and even more happy he edited this feature for you. Its amazing!

This is a remix 12th Planet did for MSTRKRFT featuring John Legend a while back. It didnt get a full release but has since been leaked through blogs. This simply compliments the original giving it a dirty bassline and a crackin snare.
