Nobody loves free bass music as much as we at Media Contender do, and thankfully we are fortunate enough to be able to share all this music and help endorse artists who continue to create exciting new things. For those who are familiar with Helicopter Showdown, the foursome from San Francisco, you know they’ve been amping everybody up with a free release of their Modestep remix upon hitting 10,000 listens on SoundCloud. Well, we blinked and it was already at 11,000. You guys are fast.
Helicopter Showdown have already made their imprint on the scene by making Beatport’s Top 10 Dubstep chart with their debut single “The Wrestler”. They’ve garnered a lot of fame since, especially on the blogosphere, so we are happy to be a part of their next release! As noted, Modestep’s “Sunlight” is one that has caught the attention of many bass heads with its catchy vocals and melodies. Helicopter Showdown, with the help of friends Calvertron, got all kinds of weird with the remix, adding tons of gamer samples and ripping dubs and basslines which, assuredly, is leaving many of you begging for more. So, without further ado, no more waiting, patient little dubstep monsters, here it is.
