LA’s king of the decks thee Mike B is back with another round of “Watch Your Ton,” his series of Moombahton mixtapes venturing deep into the blossoming genre and presenting both new and well-recognized artists in the mix as well as a selection of Mike’s “Ton-ed out” edits. I have a ton of respect for Mike. Anybody who can successfully dabble and mix in almost any genre with finesse and tastefulness deserves a pat on the back. With so much music in the world and so many directions for people to pay attention to, Mike B is conscious and appreciative of various different sounds. Lucky for us, Mike is more than generous in showing his appreciation with his DJing and mixes.

There’s a lot of attention being paid to the somewhat newly identified genre of moombahton, all things considered it seems as though it has been the most explosive genre considering its age. Everyone’s dabbled in or spoken about the lucrative sound, and now, thanks to the prowess and expanse of Mike B’s musical insight, we have another installment by way of a mix to share with the masses. Inevitably with the growth of the sound and the continual production from various artists, there’ll be future ton-ed volumes- and no matter who the tracks are by or what they sample, you can listen to and say, “that’s MOOMBAHTON.” Thanks, Mike B!
