SMOG Sundays 02.26 w/ Juakali (Live), Dubsworth, Kuru and RudElgin

Comment

SMOG returns this Sunday with its scheduled 7-day delivery of Dubstep and Bass, a package aptly wrapped within the space of Dim Mak Studios in Hollywood. This week looks to be another good one as we’ve lined up a special live performance by Juakali, whose most recent EP on Foreign Familiar sees a genre-bending 4 track display of this vocalist’s talents. Check out Tha Chillski below to get a feel.

Making his way down from San Francisco is one half of The Spit Brothers, Dubsworth. His sound is very true to his namesake and will appease anyone into that Dub style. Have a listen to his live set on SUB.FM’s SUBduction Radio.

Also performing this Sunday is Los Angeleno RudElgin. Known for his slammin’ Drum & Bass and dirty rockin’ Dubstep sets, we’re sure you’ll be in for a treat when he steps to the decks.

Riding a buzz from their last performance at Check Yo Ponytail, Media Contender and SMOG’s own Kuru will be playing a special opening-night set as they prepare for upcoming gigs at both Respect and SXSW. Check out Fountainhead, their latest collaboration with Photek on the DJ-Kicks The Exclusives compilation, OUT NOW at Beatport.

As always, the night is hosted by Kemst and RSVP gets you in for a super cheap $5 below. Visit www.SMOGRecords.com for more information and don’t forget to take advantage of the 1 PBR and 1 Shot or 2 Champagne Glasses for $10 before 11pm specials!
